The ‘Scaling Worker Protection: How Business Can Advance Parametric Insurance for Climate Resilience’ session took place at the 2025 UN Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum, Asia-Pacific on 17 September 2025. The session explored the roles businesses can play in integrating and financing insurance for workers to ensure supply chain risk management and responsible sourcing.
Aarti shared the experiences of migrant workers and informal workers through her work at Embode, who are left behind from social security schemes. She highlighted how local solutions, such as the parametric insurance, can provide a practical solution for global multinational companies to incorporate into their supply chain.
