Anca leads key projects within Embode, managing supplier and client engagement across Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam to integrate human rights due diligence. She works closely with national associates to conduct research, manage projects and carry out data analysis that is grounded in local realities. With a strong foundation in research and policy analysis, Anca navigates complex supply chain relations and environments that are shaped by their national and socio-cultural context to support businesses in adopting ethical labour practices.
Anca has worked across academia and both the private and public sectors, with expertise in migrant integration, justice reform and corporate due diligence. She has worked extensively on gender-specific migration, particularly focusing on the structural challenges faced by female migrants. Additionally, her work within correctional justice settings has deepened her understanding of complex human rights challenges, strengthening her ability to facilitate businesses to go beyond compliance and build sustainable systems that uphold the rights of workers. In the corporate sector, her background in financial due diligence and risk mitigation provides her with a deep understanding of business needs and responsible sourcing. Anca holds a Master’s in International Development and Management and a BA in Psychology and Sociology.
