2026 Food and Beverage Benchmark Report

The 2026 Food and Beverage Benchmark Baseline Report investigates the current reality of forced labour in the global supply chain and assesses the efforts of top Food and Beverage companies to combat these issues. The report is delivered by Know the Chain, a programme by the Business and Human Rights Centre, that aims to inform corporate approaches to the prevention and remedy of forced labour conditions.  In this recently published report, Know the Chain, highlighted Embode’s Ganapati Initiative as a best-practice model. 


The report identifies the Ganapati Initiative and its role in supporting industry leaders like Hershey and Unilever to implement responsible recruitment roadmaps. These assessments showcased how tailored capacity-building action plans enabled their suppliers in Thailand and Malaysia to develop robust systems for grievance mechanisms, remediation, safe working conditions and foreign employment processes that uphold the Employer Pays Principle.
