Laddawan Tamafu

Consultant

Laddawan is a social researcher dedicated to supporting businesses to embed human rights and sustainability in their operations and supply chain through inclusive, locally grounded engagement.

Laddawan is an expert in labour migration and social inclusion, with a particular focus on promoting gender equality in Thai society. With an academic background in social science and anthropology, she has conducted field research in collaboration with universities and NGOs to work with migrant workers, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and urban refugees from Myanmar and beyond. Her years of experience have equipped her with the insights and knowledge to assess complex realities involving diverse stakeholders and design solutions that are tailored to the local context.

At Embode, Laddawan works closely with businesses to tackle gaps in social protection and reduce risks related to labour, human rights, and child rights within supply chains. She is also an experienced trainer delivering knowledge in both Thai and English. Laddawan’s vast experience working with traditionally marginalised communities, equips her with the wisdom to facilitate dialogue between workers and suppliers while supporting businesses to apply international regulations on sustainability. She values Embode’s collaborative approach — one that partners with suppliers at each step rather than imposing compliance — and is deeply aligned with the organisation’s commitment to rights-based systematic change. With compassion and an analytical lens, Laddawan plays a key role in supporting Embode’s mission to embed human rights and sustainability within business practices.
